Founded in July 2024, ElderTech Engaged is a youth-led initiative committed to closing the digital divide for seniors. Our focus goes beyond simply teaching technology; we aim to empower seniors by providing them with essential skills and the confidence to navigate today's digital landscape. Our approach emphasizes mental engagement and cognitive wellness, helping to keep their minds active and resilient. By offering hands-on workshops tailored to their needs, we foster an environment of learning that is both engaging and supportive.

Why We Started

We launched ElderTech Engaged with a clear purpose: to address the gap in digital literacy among older adults. Where We Operate

Our workshops are hosted at senior centers, churches, and community spaces throughout Cerritos. We collaborate with local organizations and community leaders to bring accessible tech education directly to seniors. These settings provide familiar, comfortable environments where our team can work one-on-one with seniors to address their unique needs and build confidence in their skills. Our goal is to make these resources available to all seniors in our community, ensuring no one is left behind.

How We Help

Our approach is hands-on, personalized, and compassionate. Through our workshops, seniors learn to navigate smartphones, use social media, manage online banking, and more. Each workshop includes one-on-one guidance tailored to the participant's needs, whether they’re new to technology or looking to expand their skills. We ensure that each lesson contributes to digital confidence and independence, equipping seniors with the tools they need to thrive in a tech-savvy world. Additionally, we incorporate elements of mental engagement, providing stimulating activities that promote cognitive health.
